Côte d'Ivoire's young audio producers have skill, kit and no route to communities
Abidjan has a generation of producers who can record, cut and publish on a phone — and communities two hours away whose accounts have never been recorded properly.
Why it matters
This is the story deficit in one country: the capacity and the need are both present and have not been introduced.
What we intend to do
- Story Lab's first francophone cohort, run in French, with recorders keeping the rights to their own material.
- Field-audio guidance that assumes a phone and a tin roof, not a studio.
